Playboy Mansion Finds a New Buyer

After almost five months on the market, the Playboy Mansion has a new owner.
Daren Metropoulos of private-equity firm Metropoulos & Co., best known as the co-owner of Twinkies, along with Apollo Global Management, purchased the mansion for an undisclosed price, according to The Wall Street Journal. The mansion was listed in January with a $200 million price tag.
Metropoulos is familiar with the neighborhood, considering he lives next door to the mansion in a house he purchased from Hugh Hefner in 2009, according to the WSJ report.
Speaking of Hef, as previously reported, he will continue to live in the mansion for the rest of his life.
The WSJ said Metropoulos will combine the 22,000-square-foot Playboy Mansion with his current property to create a 7.3 acre compound.
The properties are located on Mapleton Drive in Holmby Hills.
